What would you do if one of your friends had cancer? How would you encourage them to not give up hope even if you already have? In my book one of Alices friends has cancer and she talks about how sometimes she does not know what to say to her to help encourage her.
well, i dont really know what i would say...just to live in the moment and not worry about the future. god has his plans for everyone and if the time comes that he wants you in heaven with him, then so be it.
ReplyDeleteWell i would cry for days, not around my friend because I would need to be strong for my friend! I would be heart broken, afraid, and so very worried, yet i couldn't show these feelings. It would be a difficult concept for me to grasp and would take lots of time for me to believe it. To encourage someone with cancer must be very difficut. I'm not sure what I would say i guess it kind of depends on the friend I would be encouraging. I know this wouldn't work for an adult, but my grandpa told me how he had polio as a young boy and he was promised a pony when he was healthy once again. He said that this helped him to stay strong because he always wanted a pony, I mean what little kid doesnt? This would be good motivation for a child, but an adult I'm not sure how I would encourage them.
ReplyDeleteThats a tough one. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I was little, but I did everything I could for her. I gave her hugs all the time and made her breakfast, which probably wasnt that good, but I helped her in every way I could think of. Even though I am older now, I think the same things would apply. I think that if I was the one with cancer, I wouldn't want my friends to treat me any differently. It would be hard to hide your feelings but just being there for them and letting them know how much they mean to you and how much you love them.
