I believe there is a sliver of truth to it. Just like ghost stories, there might have been somebody who was a great archer, or someone who always wore green tights.
lol green tights...well yes I do believe that Robin Hood existed. Legends have to have some truth to it or they wouldnt be legends. Even if Robin Hood wasnt his name, or if he didnt marry the princess, he probably earned his fame for helping the poor by stealing from the rich.
I think that Robin Hood is a compilation of many different men. The whole idea behind Robin Hood is such a great story, he's a man with all of the best traits and seemingly none of the bad, except maybe that he is considered an outlaw. He's courageous, strong, has a good-moral compass, and a sense of right and wrong. He's really the ultimate hero, fighting for the poor and underprivileged. So I definitely think that Robin Hood exists, whether or not the man himself was a real person or not remains to be seen.
