Suicide Day
In my book there is a man who became a member of a very, very small town. This man was very loud, drunk and outrageous, and everyone in the town thought he was crazy, although they knew he had boundaries. He invented a day called Suicide Day, that was every January 3rd. On these days he would go up and down the streets with a cow bell and rope, encouraging people to kill themselves or each other. After a couple of years the townspeople were used to his behaviors and these Suicide Days, and it became apart of their lives, even though they did not take part. If you lived in a small town with a man who behaved like this, do you think you would be able to grow comfortable with him? How would you treat him?

I don't think I could ever get used to this behavior. If the town were a large city or something, then I think it would be easy to lose him in the crowd, but beings that its a small place, he'd always be a presence.
ReplyDeleteI would think the people in the town would agree with me on saying, that he has to go, or needs help, or something.
I couldn't live with a crazy man running around wanting to kill people or have people kill one another.. it just doesn't appeal to me. ha.
