Something good from hardship
At the end of the story, after Emily and her family is safe, Barbara, Emily's mother, shares with the lead detective that she hopes something good will come out of Emily's life after all the hardship. Have you or someone you know ever experienced something good come from something that caused pain or hardship?

I have a friend who was diagnosed with a serious disease 3 years ago and she is always in a lot of pain and has had numerous surgeries. It has been very hard on her and her family. Through this though she has become closer to God and he uses her to inspire others. She travels to different churches, schools, and organizations to speak about her situation. She loves telling her story not because she wants people to feel sorry for her but because she want people to see how God watches over people.
ReplyDeleteI know this may sound weird but one thing that has happened to me since my parents have gotten divorced is that I have gotten closer to some of my friends and God. It is still hard on me but my friends are always there for me to help when I need it. And I can always turn to God when it gets that bad.
