Growing Apart.

Do you still have the same friend group from when you were little? If not, why? In my book, the main character has had the same best friend since elementary school. They are starting to grow apart and disagree on whats right from wrong. Is it time for them to spilt up and move on with their lives? Or should they try to save their friendship since they have so many memories built up?

  1. I've still got the same friends I've had since school first began for me sooo soo long ago =)
Some have come and gone, but the most important ones have stuck around, and I wouldn't trade my friendship with any of them for anything.
Personally, I would hope they would try to salvage the friendship, I mean, its taken years and years to build it up, and it would take just as long to start a new friendship, so why let it all go to waste?
But, if they can't come to an understanding, maybe they should back off, I'm not really sure what I would do.
I've been in this situation before and everything worked out. So, I wouldn't know what to do if I were put in that situation and things couldn't be fixed.

  2. The person that was my first friend at hollister is still my friend although I wish we were closer. We were extremly close, inseperable, really a couple of years ago, a suddenly we just grew apart. I am trying to reconnect with this person because graduation is approaching and I want to remain friends after high school. I would hope that these friends would try to repair thier friendship. I agree with Bethany that it has taken them years to build this friendship, it shouldn't be something that should be easy to throw away.

  3. bahahaha. i have changed friends so many times. when i was getting ready to start 1st grade, i moved to a new town, so i had to leave all the friends i had then, and then before freshman year, i moved here, so i had to leave all my friends again. i still am in contact with a few of my old friends, but im not as close to them as i used to be. everyone changes in high school, and a lot of my friends that i knew so well in middle school have changed A LOT and i dont really even know them anymore. i have tried to stay friends with a lot of them, but its hard when we never get to hang out or talk on a regular basis...so in my situation i just kinda gave up, but if i still lived in colorado, then i would have tried to save the relationship that i had with them.
