Left hanging....

What do you think about books that leave you hanging? Thats what happens at the end of the Princess Bride, they get trapped at their moment of escape and the its ENDS! Thank goodness there is a sequel to the book.

  1. Sometimes I like when books have an ambiguous ending. It lets you decide what happens. Also it brings up interesting discussions about what you think happens. Other times though I want to know what happens to characters. It's like I had followed what the author had decided up to this point I don't want to have to make a decision as important as the ending on my own. What I want to happen might be different from what the author would have wanted to happen.

  2. I hate them! Id rather know how it ends, when I have to decide how it ends I come up with like a million different endings. So therefore all books like that should have a sequel.

  3. I hate when that happens because you have to wait for the second book to come out. In the end i am so impatient that I forget about the book or get mad enough that I refuse to read the next book. It is like authors are trying to make their readers mad by ending the book that way. In the end I think it is a waste of time to read books like that.
