Imagine its 3 am and the phone is ringing, its a police officer calling to inform you that your son has been critically injured and his girlfriend has been shot in the head. Your best friends are the parents of your son's girlfriend. How would you react? Would you be able to stay calm?
I would freak out because my son is hurt and my best friends child is dead. I wouldnt know what to do, because it would take a few minutes to sink in.
ReplyDeleteI think that at first I wouldn't really register the immensity of the situation. I think that it would really sink in when I got to the hospital and saw my son. At that point I think that I would start to be a little afraid. Not because I was worried about getting hurt but more like I was worried for my son if he was going to be okay both physically and emotionally. Also I would be worried for my friends. Their daughter had just died, I would definitely be there for them for support.
ReplyDeleteHow the crap could you stay calm? Your son has just been somewhere where his girlfriend was shot in the head. I would be praising God that he was not killed but I would also be trying to help my friends deal with the loss of their daughter.
