Breaking Free or Staying True

Your mother has died and since then your father has turned into a very cruel man and he hates you because you remind him of his wife. He and his friends are about to lynch 3 men because they have been ACCUSED of murder. In order to make you into a man he wants you to pull the horse out from under one of the men so he would hang, would you prove to your father that you can do it or be merciful to a man who is really just an innocent bystander?
