if you were dating someone who your parents did not approve of, would you care? and if they tried to tell you that you were not allowed to see him anymore, would you listen?
I have had this experience many times! What I did was try to change their mind and how them that the guy wasnt so bad and that he really had my best interest at heart. But when it really comes down to it my parents know what best for me and I have decided to take what they say more serious. So far, they have always been right and now I know :)
I probably would care that they didn't approve of him but I don't think that would stop me. I might try to show them what I see in that person and try to change their minds but I don't think I would stop seeing someone just because they said I should. It's my life and I will make mistakes and even if that person was one, I have to learn sometime.
