Sarcasm

In my book mostly all the characters, especially Westley, are sarcastic. Do you think there is every a time NOT to be sarcastic?

    there is always a time not to be sarcastic. when someone is in a bad mood it is usually not a good idea to be sarcastic around them b/c sometimes they may not know how to take it. and when something bad happens being sarcastic is not a very good idea.
