books and movies

Do you think that books are always better than the movie? I'm reading the princess bride. So far I like the book a lot, and movie is pretty good too, but I can't decide which one I like better.

  1. Well in most cases the book is a heck of a lot better than the movie. If they made the movie exactly like the book that movie would be like 12 hours long. So they change it up a little just to make it shorter. And in books you always get more information, for example Twilight, everybody had a different picture of Edward. Nobody thinks exactly the same so somebody may really like the movie while somebody else may hate it.

  2. It depends on the book and movie. Some movies leave out the best parts of a book and that is what makes the movie not as good as the book. Other movies add the good stuff and more which makes it better thna the book. And if you do not like the ending of a book and they change it in the movie then generally you might like the movie better than you did the book.

  3. honestly i always think that the books are better than the movies just b/c you get a lot more information from the book. i love the book "my sisters keeper" but i refuse to watch the movie b/c i have heard that it has changed so much. and since i love that book so much i know that the movie would ruin the book for me.

  4. I agree with Amanda. The book is generally better than the movie because you are free to have whatever image of the characters and places that you like, and the book is not on a budget so it can be as elaborate as it wants to be without having to worry about running up millions of dollars in costs to produce the scenes.
