punishment
What would you do if your mother punished you for changing the way you act, but these changes were for the good? Your punishment is that you are no longer to see your friends, the only true friends you have ever had, that know everything about you and still love you. Would you follow the rules and no longer see them, or would you go behind her back and see you friends in secret?

I would go see my friends. Even though they like to think so,adults are not always right. If you know that you had changed for the better then who is she to punish you for bettering yourself? I think that people in authority positions are always at a risk of abusing their power. Parenting is an authority position. It sounds like this girl's mother doesn't really care about what her daughter had done for herself but just wanted to punish her because she was able to.
ReplyDeleteI think I would probably go see my friends. Parents always say that they know whats best for you, which is probably true in most cases but not all of them. If your ways have changed for the better then your mom should happy. If your mature enough and old enough to know that your mom is wrong then I would do whats best for me. You should respect your parents, I get that, but I wouldn't want to lose my friends because of something good that happened.
