Testifying

Michael Gold is the father of Emily Gold, the girl who Chris Harte has been accused of murdering. Michael believes that Chris did not kill his daughter, and has agreed to testify at his trial, in his defense. Melanie, Michael's wife, is upset with him because of this. If you were Melanie, would you be upset with your husband in this situation or would you try to see his reason for testifying for Chris?

  1. I think that at first I would be very upset at my husband for trying to stop the arrest of what I thought was our daughter's murderer. But if he explained to me that he didn't think that Chris was the one who had killed her then I would at least try to see his point of view. I don't think that a father would just not want the kid who murdered his daughter to go to prison, therefore he probably truly believed tat he didn't kill her and just didn't want the wrong person to go to jail.

  2. If I knew that he didnt do it then I wouldn't be mad. An innocent person shouldnt go to jail. Especially if I could do something about it.

  3. I think I would be upset if I truely believed Chris killed my daughter. That would be a huge blow to my daughter's case if I was trying to have Chris put in jail. However its my husband and I would need his comfort and support if my daughter just died so I would probably let it go so I wouldn't be without a daughter and a husband.
