Gus Harte is married to James Harte. They are best friends with Melanie and Michael Gold. Gus and Michael have been meeting a few days a week to have lunch together and haven't told their spouses about these "dates". They call each other and talk on the phone, and once Michael even kissed Gus.
Do you consider what they are doing as cheating on their husband/wife? Why or why not?

I think that if their spouses found out then that would definitely be the conclusion they would come to. If they were just friends they would have no reason to keep their meetings from them. Kissing someone who isn't your spouse never seems like a good idea, especially if you are meeting that person behind your husband's back. I know that some people who have been friends for a very long time feel comfortable kissing each other in just a friendly way but since Gus is not telling her husband then I think it could definitely be considered cheating.
ReplyDeleteI would say its cheating. First off he shouldnt have kissed her. Secondly, if they thinks it's a big enough thing that they can't even tell their spouses then it must be cheating. If it wasnt then they shouldnt have any problem being honest about it and they shouldnt worry about it.
