I definitely wouldn't. Well I don't want to say definitely not. I think that if I needed the money that bad and maybe if I could be sedated then that might not be completely unreasonable. If someone was just betting me to cut off my finger with a dirty kitchen knife in some dark alley then definitely not. Self-mutilation seems like a strange thing to do for money though.
No, that would be incredibly dumb. However, I could see why someone would jump to the opportunity to do so, $65,0000 is a lot of money. If someone really, really needed it and were desperate, I could see why that would be an option. I probably wouldn't do that myself, but I would slightly tempted if the situation really called for it.
