Choices

The woman in my book is a retired CIA agent and she really loved her job when she was still working however, she didn't get to ever really see her family and is almost 40 years old and has never been in a long term relationship. If you had to choose between an exciting, thrilling, job you really loved and your friends and family and finding that right person which would you choose?

  1. I would choose the exciting job. You had time for friends and family when you were in high school and now it would be time to do something you love and want to do. Nobody wants to be held back from something they love to do. I would not want my family to get mad at me because i want to do what I want to do. Life needs more excitement anyways.

  2. I would pick my friends, family and the person I loved over an exciting job. I of course would still need a job to have income, but I wouldn't want to spend my life alone. I would hope to find a job that I enjoy but has the hours that allows me to spend time with my family. Before I would quit my dream job though I would talk to my boss and see if there was any way I could keep the job but change my availablity so I could have a family too. IF that didn't work out I would be sad but it would be the best decision for me.

  3. I would pick my friends, family and finding a husband over a job any day. Yeah, having a fun job would be really cool, but who is going to be there for you at the end of the day? I personally wouldn't want to come home to an empty house night after night just because I chose having a job that I will eventually retire from over having a family and children and a social life. I love being surrounded by my loved onese, so I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be alone in the world just for the sake of a fun job.

  4. I would definately pick my family! Nothing is ever more important than your family. She is 40 years old thats old, doesnt she want her own family! I want to have my kids all out of me before I am even close to 40! just sayin! I guess it just depends on what you vaule the most. I have always had that dream of having the perfect husband and the cute family with 3 kids... I guess someone who has always wanted a certain job would see this situation completly different... But I would definatly choose the family and hubby :)

  5. I would choose my friends and family over an exciting job. The job might be fun and all but when you go home from work who's there for you to talk to or to have a life or relationship with. My friends and family are the most important thing to me, other than God, so for me its a no brainer. I've always felt sad for the people in like movies who live for there job and dont have a personal life. They always seem so lonely and I am definitely a people person. I like to talk and to go out with friends so I just couldnt do it.
