Have you ever had a plan for the future but nobody believes in you? In my book George and Lennie both plan on getting land after they get enough money so they dont have to work anymore.

  1. Yes. I told my grandparents I was going to a college that would be 34 minutes away from my aunt. That part they likes, the part they did not like was that it would be 8 hours away from them. My grandma said oh ok have fun because she does not think that I will move. My grandpa said no that I was not going to move away from him and my mother. It annoys me that they do not believe I can take care of myself.

  2. I've never had someone flat out tell me that they don't believe in me. But there have been situations when I said I was going to do something and my parents or whoever just didnt want to talk about it or they made up some excuse as to why I couldn't. Those kinds of things I pick up on quick, especially with my parents, it just says to me that they don't think I can.

  3. yeah this has happened to me before. i pretty much have my mind set on going to a college that is 5 hours away from my house and i dont really have the money to pay for it and will have to take out some student loans and my dad doesnt really believe that i will go to this college and that if i do, i wont be able to pay the loans off.

  4. I agree with Pamala, I can't remember a time when a friend or my mom or dad flat out told me that they didn't believe in me or think I could do whatever it is I said I wanted to do.
Usually, if someone does have their doubts they just shrug me off and don't really say much of anything about the situation, which to me is ten times worse then them just coming out and saying that they don't believe in me.

  5. I will have to agree with pam pam and bethy kay because I have always had someone who has believed in me in everything I do. I know that I will always have my parents and sister who will have my back and support me in everything I go through. My parents have always told me that if I really want something and I strive to reach my goal they know that I will accomplish whatever I am reaching for. I may need a little budge along the way so its always nice to have them there to help me keep going and to believe in me when I begin to lose faith in myself, even then they still encourage me and have faith in what I am doing. Not only do I have my family as support, but also my friends. If I were to have a goal, I think they will always be there for me and believe in what I do. :)
