Would You?

If your son/daughter is being accused of murder and they are no where to be found, would you assist the police in finding them?

  1. Yes i would!! If i believed my child did the crime or not, i would definitely help find him! I would want to know the truth! Maybe my child was set up for it to appear that he did the crime and was kidnapped so he looked guilty and he was just a victim hisself. I would need to know where my child was because no matter what he has done or where he goes a mother will always love her son. (I have heard this from mothers, not experience!!)

  2. First off, wow Becca, I don't think anyone was thinking that you had some secret kid you were hiding away from everyone. I think I would definitely help the police find them. If they had murdered someone, the police need to know about it, even if it was in self-defense, although running away wouldn't be the best way to help prove their innocence. If it wasn't a murder in self-defense wouldn't you, as a parent want to get help for your child no matter what that would be? Maybe the best thing for them would be to go to jail for that murder because they need to take responsibility for their actions, if they didn't couldn't they continue on that violent path? But in reality how much would you be able to help the police anyway? If he/she was missing what help would you really be able to provide except to inform the police about their family and friends?

  3. No I would not, That would be between my child and the law, the only way I would interfier would be to bail him/her out. I would also like to know the truth too and try to find him/her, but I wouldnt turn my child into the police, and I wouldnt harbor Him/her either. They would have to make it right and face the consequences on their own, there is only so far a parent can go before it becomes the child's responsibility.

  4. I have been raised with morals and values and I know that when I do something wrong, there will be consequences that I must pay, and that is how I will raise my future children. With that being said, if my son or daughter were a suspected murder I would help the police find them, as hard as that would be for a parent, I'm sure. But nonetheless, my child would have obviously done something wrong or have been in the wrong place at the wrong time and would need to learn the lesson that no crime goes unpunished and if they did, in fact, do something as horrible as to kill another person, then in jail is where they would need to be, and I would most definitely do my part in aiding to locate them.

  5. I think I would probably help the police find them simply because even if they did commit the murder I would want to know that they were safe somewhere. Of course if I knew where they were and they had commited murder but they were safe after running away, I might not help the police just because no one wants to see their child go to jail. I don't think murder is right by any means but if it was my child I would do anything to protect them.

  6. I would not help the police find them. If the police arn't smart enough to find the then they do not deserve to find my child. Besides for murder no one really gets in trouble anymore. The woman who killed my dad and cousins best friend with her car only got probation and a fine. So my child should be just fine. I might help the police it just depends. There are police and there are bad police. Police that abuse their power just really tick me off. If I thought the police would beat my child once they found them then theres no chance in hades that I would help them.

  7. This is a difficult question because I would want to help but then again I wouldnt because it is my child. The only reason I would help is if the crime that was bad enough to make me want to send them to jail. I wouldnt help if it was a stupid crime, though. And yes some crimes are really really stupid
