In The Time Machine when the Time Traveler goes forward in time into the future, people look differently. They are frail and weak. He describes them as someone who could have been afflicted by Tuberculosis, but they are very beautiful nonetheless.
Hundreds of years from now, do you think humans will still have the appearance that they do today or do you predict that the human race will go under drastic changes over that amount of time? Why?

I kind of think that we will be the same, in a way. I mean think about how we were in the past. The only thing I can think of as being different in apperance is the way we dress ourselves and yes of course that will change. The physical make up of people has sort of changed aswell...People now days are lazy and fat, before there werent as many obese people. Now days people struggle alot with weight, but I dont think things would change that much. We will always have people in all shapes and sizes and dressed in different ways. Thinking of how things might change in the future is a very interesting thought though :)
ReplyDeleteI think appearances will be different. Especially with all the plastic surgeries and things like that that are offered now a days. I think maybe the idea of someone being beautiful will eventually take on a new meaning. People have so many opportunities so alter there appearance, I can only imagine it becoming more popular.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pamala. The world will figure out a cheaper way to give people that 'dream' image everyone creates in their mind of what they want to look like. I think there will be less overweight people since it is becoming such a health risk and people will take advantage of how easily they can change their look.
ReplyDeleteOf course there will be many different clothing styles. We definitely don't dress how people did in the 50s and styles will continue change throughout the future.
Technology will be much further advanced but I don't think the human body structure will completely alter unless there is a drastic environmental change that the human race would have to adapt to.
